So, as you can probably tell from this blog, I’m pretty new to the whole blogosphere thing, but I think I’m starting to catch on. I know, I know…you look at my blog and thing ‘Catch on? Lauren, the majority of your posts relate to school work…?’ But here’s the thing. As a student in Dr. Mihaela Vorvoreanu’s PRinciples class, she has made it very clear, that in order to be a successful PR practitioner, we need to start familiarizing ourselves with and becoming active in the blogosphere. At first, I was not too keen on this idea. I just thought, “Yeah right, are you kidding me? Who actually takes the time to blog?”, but come to find out I was a little behind the times. My eyes have been opened to many blogs, not only about PR but about my favorite hobbies, interests, and activities as well. Dr. V also gave us some recent ideas and inspiration for blogging, and because of this I vowed to myself that I would become a more active and engaged blogger. It may take some getting used to, and I may not like it at first, but it’s just something that I’m gonna have to learn to love, and hopefully it’ll start to come naturally.
SO…
For those of you who are active bloggers, where do you get your inspiration? How often do you blog? How did it become such a big part of your life, and why do you find it to be important?
Keep me posted

Lauren,
I get my ideas from reading and thinking about PR – from making connections between books, blogs, and whatever else I read and the issues that are important to me: PR, education, social media, etc.
I try to blog at least once a week, but that frequency varies.
